Praise and Worship Team’s Powerful ‘Praise You Anywhere’ Cover

One praise and worship team delivered a powerful “Praise You Anywhere” cover. The group of talented musicians turned in a moving and awe-inspiring performance of the Brandon Lake hit song. Check out the short clip to watch and hear the team’s soul-stirring rendition.

No one’s life is perfect. We all encounter obstacles and hurdles, situations and circumstances that we would much rather avoid at all costs. However, as most people already know, hardships and trials do not discriminate – they visit everyone at one time or another.

But even when everything seems against us and nothing is going our way, we are called to praise and thank the Lord. It doesn’t matter the situation, either. As difficult as that may be to comprehend, that does mean praising His name amid the pain, struggle and heartache. While he and Silas were sitting in prison, Paul still sang hymns of praise to God.

In a clip posted on YouTube, a group of musicians—the praise and worship team from First Baptist Clarksville in Clarksville, Tennessee—performed a tune about just that, praising and thanking the Lord in every situation. It’s an excellent musical performance that deserves to be listened to and watched multiple times.

“Sing through the fire

Praise when it don’t make sense

Sometimes, you’ve gotta stare down the giant

Worship from the lion’s den”

It’s human nature to react with complaining, grumbling and a “woe is me” attitude when things don’t go our way. It’s easy to feel sorry for ourselves during life’s hardships and much more challenging to praise and worship His name in those instances. But no matter what happens in life, regardless of the circumstances, He will always and forever be more than worthy of our praise and worship.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 “In everything give praise: for this is the purpose of God in Christ Jesus for you.”

Woman's Breathtaking ‘Peace in the Valley’ Rendition

A woman’s breathtaking ‘Peace in the Valley’ rendition will have you humming the song the rest of the day. Angie Sutherland calls herself “A small-town gall from West Virginia” on her YouTube page. She also writes, “I love to sing praises for my Lord. I pray that my videos may uplift someone in a positive way in the Lord.”

The caption alone will tell you what her heart is like. And it’s how she simply but passionately sings that will leave you in awe. Dressed in a purple t-shirt, ripped jeans, and rocking a messy bun, she sits in her plush rocking chair with her dog hanging out on the armrest when she begins to sing the perfect rhythm of blues and gospel. It’s as if her dog senses the sacredness of the moment, soaking in the peace Angie pours out with her words:

‘There will be peace in the valley for me, someday

There will be peace in the valley for me, oh Lord I pray

There'll be no sadness, no sorrow

No trouble, trouble I see’

The song was released in 1939, written by Thomas A Dorsey, and sung by Mahalia Jackso,n but it wasn’t until Elvis Presley performed the song on the Ed Sullivan Show that the song caught on like wildfire, becoming one of the best-known blues Gospel songs in the country. The song paints a vivid picture of a future without sorrow, pain, strife, or fear as it describes a place of calm in the midst of the chaos of life. It’s what we have to look forward to in the future when we walk side by side with the Lord.

What I love best about this music video is how Angie sang the song in a simple moment. She wasn’t dressed up, nor was she aiming for entertainment. It was a moment of singing to the Lord and letting the music wash over her. Her rendition was deeply refreshing and moving. Whether you’re watching at work or in the coziness of your home, this song reminds us of the unshakeable truth we have in God–He is always with us.

Psalm 23:4 "Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me."

Redeemed Quartet’s Captivating ‘Satisfied’ Hymn Cover

Redeemed Quartet delivered a captivating cover of the beloved hymn “Satisfied.” Their mesmerizing and awe-inspiring rendition of this Gospel favorite is one that you’ll want to listen to repeatedly. Watch this video as the four talented young men beautifully sing “Satisfied.”

Most people in this broken world are lost and struggling, hurting, battered and bruised. They are searching for something, anything that will make the pain subside and go away, even temporarily. Sadly, people will hurriedly and expectantly look here and there but come up empty in every single instance.

Sure, there are temporary, momentary fixes that will numb and dull the pain and heartache. But the solutions this world has to offer aren’t permanent answers. They are but band-aids that will soon become useless and fall off without ever having fixed the problem. Luckily, there is One—Jesus Christ—who offers a permanent, life-changing solution. He is the answer to all our worries, cares and concerns.

In a clip posted on YouTube, the four guys sing “Satisfied,” a beloved, old hymn about having found Him, the answer, after a long and exhaustive search. Like their other performances and covers, they knock this one out of the park.

Additionally, “Satisfied” is a beautifully written song that perfectly captures and articulates what many people experience today.  Many are lost and searching, hoping to find anything that will give them even the smallest amount of hope.

“Hallelujah! I have found Him

Whom my soul so long has craved!

Jesus satisfies my longings,

Through His blood, I now am saved”

Those four lines, the hymn’s chorus, perfectly sum up the relief and change that Christ brings to our lives after we confess our sins and accept His forgiveness. We no longer search for something to fill us or provide a temporary fix. When someone comes to Christ, they have found the one life-changing, permanent solution to their problems and longings.

Colossians 3:16 “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”

YOUR The ONE

Vision of JESUS

Young Woman's Chilling 'Goodness of God' Cover

A young woman delivered a chillingly beautiful cover of “Goodness of God.” The gifted singer displayed her immense musical abilities while singing the beloved contemporary Christian music tune. Check out the video to hear the woman’s rendition of the classic song.

Contemporary Christian music is an incredibly popular genre. When it comes to the church and music heard in places of worship, contemporary Christian music likely edges out hymns. More and more churches are opting to use songs by artists like Phil Wickham, Bethel Music, Matthew West and Elevation Worship for the praise and worship portion of their services.

Hymns and contemporary Christian music both have their negatives and positives. The debate over which is better for church services is likely to bring about strong opinions from people on both sides. Regardless of where you fall in that debate, there are standout, classic songs in both hymns and more modern, updated Christian songs. One contemporary Christian song that has quickly become a classic, known by worshippers worldwide, is “Goodness of God.”

In a clip posted on YouTube, one woman, Danielle Marie, belts out the lyrics to the timeless tune about God’s unending and all-encompassing goodness, love and faithfulness. It’s a dazzling performance and one that you’ll want to listen to repeatedly. Her voice is so clean, clear and crisp.

“’Cause all my life You have been faithful

All my life You have been so, so good

With every breath that I am able

Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God”

As mentioned earlier, this song is a popular target for covers. Nearly every big or even remotely recognizable name in Christian music has performed this song at one time or another. Likely, the biggest reason for the song’s popularity among performers and listeners is that we can all relate to the lyrics. We’re all well acquainted with His goodness, faithfulness and grace – none of which we deserve.

Psalm 34:8 “By experience you will see that the Lord is good; happy is the man who has faith in him.”

Brother and Sister's Precious 'Jesus Loves Me, This I Know' Rendition

A brother and sister delivered a precious rendition of the beloved classic “Jesus Loves Me, This I Know.” The two siblings showed off their musical gifts as they sang about being aware of Christ's immense love for them. Watch the video to see and listen to the sweet, heartwarming musical performance.

If not for the sacrifice – the undeserving and excruciatingly painful death and ultimate, victorious resurrection - of Jesus Christ, none of us would have any hope or future. We’d all still be lost in our sins and transgressions, staring down an eternity forever separated from Him. There would still exist this divide, a rupture caused by sin keeping us from Him.

But because He loved us, a bunch of arrogant, disobedient sinners, so much, He sent His one and only Son to Earth, who eventually took our spot on the cross. He went through all of that for you and me. There is no greater love than that because His actions and death at the cross offer us the opportunity to be forgiven of sins and have a chance at eternal life with Him.

That’s an amazing, mind-blowing type of love freely offered to everyone, including the tiniest of children. In a clip posted on YouTube, a brother and a sister sing of Christ’s love for the children, all the little children.

While the video features the two youngsters singing “Jesus Loves Me, This I Know,” it begins on a decidedly different note. In the opening seconds, the older brother lovingly and hilariously gives his little sister some direction. He informs her what she is supposed to be singing and when.

Once that is all sorted out, the two sweet children get right into the song we all know and love. Their rendition is so cute and heartwarming, which reminds us of how much Christ truly loves and cares for all of us.

Colossians 3:16 “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”

Trio’s Soul-Stirring ‘My Redeemer Is Faithful and True’ Cover

An incredibly talented trio delivered a soul-stirring cover of “My Redeemer is Faithful and True.” It’s an unbelievably powerful and moving performance about Christ’s love and faithfulness. Check out the video to watch and listen to the lovely rendition of the Steven Curtis Chapman tune.

Life is not always an easy, enjoyable or fun-loving experience. In fact, there will be many instances in which the opposite is true. Circumstances that are heartbreaking, painful and filled with sorrow will arise, often through no fault of our own. How could we possibly make it through this? But somehow, we managed to do it.

In a clip posted on YouTube, three singers beautifully perform a song about making it through those hard times and how it was made possible. It’s also a song about Christ’s amazing, unending love and His faithfulness.

“As I look back on the road I’ve traveled

I see so many times He carried me through

And if there’s one thing that I’ve learned in my life

My Redeemer is faithful and true”

While the vocal performances from all three individuals are fantastic and noteworthy, the song’s lyrics make this video worth watching and listening to repeatedly. The words are full of so much truth and accurately describe Christ’s wonderful, loving and faithful nature.

He was and always will be so much better than we deserve. We could never do anything to earn His love, mercy, forgiveness, guidance and protection. Yet, He is always there, no matter what we do or how we stumble and fall. As the song’s title states and the chorus mentions multiple times, He is faithful and true. Anyone who has been a follower of Christ for any significant amount of time knows this to be 100 percent correct.

Life will sometimes be rough, but we can rest assured that we will make it through because He is so faithful and true.

Hebrews 10:23 “Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; for he is faithful that promised.”

Praise and Worship Team’s Soul-Stirring Rendition of ‘Mercy’

One church’s praise and worship team delivered a soul-stirring rendition of “Mercy.” This powerful and moving cover of the tune previously sung and recorded by Elevation Worship and Maverick City Music is one you’ll want to listen to repeatedly. Watch the video and listen to the talented team’s cover performance.

You and I and everyone else on Earth, as the Bible states, are sinners who have fallen short of the glory of God. In our arrogance and disobedience, we willingly turned our back on Him. We chose our way, ignoring and going against His commands and directives. In short, we’re sinners.

But for some reason, God, in His mercy and goodness, made a way to repair and bridge the divide sin caused in our relationship with Him. God sent His Son, Jesus Christ. He became a sacrifice, taking our spot on the cross. Christ paid a debt we can never repay, giving us hope and a future.

In a clip posted on YouTube, the praise and worship team from First Baptist Clarksville in Clarksville, Tennessee, beautifully performed “Mercy.” As indicated by the song’s title, it’s a tune about the undeserving love and mercy that Christ did and continues to show every one of us.

“Now I’m alive to tell the story

How I’ve overcome

It’s His goodness and mercy

And the power of His blood”

The song’s lyrics accurately articulate and describe what the Lord has done and continues to do in lives. He takes people and changes lives, making things thought lost and broken new again. He brings hope and offers forgiveness of sins to all. None of which any of us deserve. However, it’s all only possible because of Christ’s love, goodness and mercy.

Watch this video, listen to the song lyrics and try not to get emotional. That’s a near impossibility when truly considering what Christ has done and continues to do in our lives.

Hebrews 4:16 “Then let us come near to the seat of grace without fear, so that mercy may be given to us, and we may get grace for our help in time of need.”

Michael Tait and Choir’s Soul-Stirring ‘We Believe’ Performance

Michael Tait and a massive choir delivered a soul-stirring “We Believe” performance. The hundreds of voices combined to make for a moving and dazzling rendition of the Newsboys hit. Check out the clip to watch and listen to the powerful rendition.

The world is a sad, lonely and broken place. Sin has done a number on the world and its hurting and struggling inhabitants. Sin has utterly ruined and destroyed anything and everything with which it has come into contact. Sin and its repercussions have devastated marriages, careers and entire lives.

As horrible an impact sin has had on this world, perhaps its worst, most damaging effect has been that it leaves people without hope. Without any hope, people will simply give up and surrender, choosing to throw in the towel. If there is no future and they’ve already lost, why bother continuing the fight? In that case, wouldn’t the simple, most sensible solution be to wave the white flag?

In a clip posted on YouTube, Michael Tait, lead singer of the Newsboys, along with the First Dallas Choir, performs a song about the hope and future found in Jesus Christ. “We Believe” recognizes all this world's hurt, darkness and hopelessness. However, as the song’s beautifully written lyrics state, there is an answer to whatever may ail you.

“We believe in God the Father

We believe in Jesus Christ

We believe in the Holy Spirit

And He’s given us new life”

Like the performance captured in the five-minute clip, the lyrics are powerful. Christ freely offers love, forgiveness and a future to all. He can and does inject hope into a situation where there appears to be none. He can make a way and turn things around when the outcome and road ahead appears bleak. In Christ, we find forgiveness and hope because there is no future without Him.

Romans 15:13 “Now may the God of hope make you full of joy and peace through faith, so that all hope may be yours in the power of the Holy Spirit.”

Calm. Peaceful. Beautiful. Silent Night.
