They don’t want to fund a wall, but two Democrats want taxpayers to pay for Congress’ feminine hygiene products.

The Washington Times reports Reps. Grace Meng and Sean Patrick Maloney, both New York Democrats, said the House should provide the products free of charge in all common bathrooms, and should reimburse those that buy them as office supplies.

The two lawmakers wrote a letter Thursday to House Speaker Paul Ryan asking him to approve the funds.

The House last week denied Maloney’s reimbursement request for the products.

The lawmakers said his office made the products available to his staff and any visitors to his office.
