Arizona’s Republican Rep. Andy Biggs introduced a bill that would effectively use foreign funds to help pay for President Trump's planned wall on the Mexican border.

Fox News reports Biggs authored House Resolution 6657, which would fine the governments of countries that illegal immigrants are coming from.

That money would then be placed in a separate U.S. Treasury account to be used to secure the southern border.

Paul Gosar of Arizona and other Republicans have signed on as co-sponsors.

Biggs said that "even with a Republican-controlled [Congress], we have failed to secure the funds for the border wall. In the meantime, our Border Patrol agents suffer demoralizing losses of resources and personnel."

So, Biggs said, he introduced his bill to fully fund, complete, and pay for the border wall, while giving Border Patrol agents the resources they need to do their jobs.
