‘Hey mama, you'll be proud, 'cause I finally found the truth
And it seems like all your prayers, yeah they finally got through
I been caught up in my head, tryin' to fight that deja vu
Thought that I was at the end, but now I'm livin' on the moon’

What an incredible performance from for KING + COUNTRY at the Grand Ole Opry! The song “World on Fire” is the title track from Joel and Luke Smallbone’s new album, and Joel shares how the song’s title intentionally turns a familiar phrase on its head.

for KING + COUNTRY Perform at the Grand Ole Opry

“Let’s not pretend there’s a lot going on in the world right now, and one could even say the world has been on fire,” he says. “But interestingly enough about this song, this is flipping the phrase on its head. This really represents being bold, being brave, being powerful, being optimistic, being hopeful—because there’s so much to live for. God has given so much, and there’s opportunity and beauty. Stepping out into that bright, bold, beautiful future is really what this song represents for us.”

Joel goes on to share that the song's simple message is to encourage one another to use our God-given light to impact others.

“It’s simple but it’s profound. With all the mixed messaging in the world today, I think the greatest witness we can be for God—for each other, for love, for hope, for joy, for peace—is literally just living it out for the world to see. We hope you’re spurred on and encouraged,” he says. “I heard someone say the other day, ‘I’d rather be ashes than dust.’ So, let’s go burn. This is the story behind our song ‘World on Fire.’”

Lauren Daigle A Cappella 'Thank God I Do' Performance is a Must-Listen

Check out this video of Lauren Daigle’s "Thank God I Do" a cappella performance. In the video, Lauren Daigle is also singing with Anthony Gargiula and Jonathan Tilkin. All of the singers sound so wonderful together, and we hope their music encourages you today.

‘I’ve seen love come, and I’ve seen love walk away,
So many questions, will anybody stay?
It’s been a hard year, so many nights in tears
All of the darkness, tryin’ to fight my fears alone, so long alone’

What a great rendition of this song! “Thank God I Do” by Lauren Daigle was written during the uncertainty and isolation of the COVID-19 lockdowns, as the singer realized the importance of having specific people in her life for specific purposes. And she shared about how the song came about in an interview.

“This song emerged out of COVID-19 lockdowns and uncertainties. Amid those experiences, I realized God puts specific people in your life for a particular reason. And I needed the people around me to keep my head above water,” she said

“With everyone stuck on Zoom during the pandemic, I started several girl’s groups to stay in touch with friends. Because nobody was out touring or interacting in person, the online groups allowed me to see my friends I couldn’t keep up with in a while. That led to this song about praising the Lord for the joy of being in a relationship with Him and for His provision of the right people at the right times.”

This Lauren Daigle "Thank God I Do" a cappella performance is just wonderful, and the harmonies in it are so great. The other singers in the video, Anthony Gargiula and Jonathan Tilkin, are social media musical collaborators known for producing covers of popular songs alongside the original artists.

We hope that you enjoyed listening to this performance of "Thank God I Do" today.

Canaan Baca 'Who Else' Powerful Performance

Check out this powerful performance from Canaan Baca of the "Who Else" worship song and be encouraged today! The song explores the idea that, while all creation praises God, humans bring a unique song of redemption that even angels cannot sing. We were all created with a unique God-given purpose, but we also share the same purpose: to lift God’s name and bring Him glory.

‘I am an instrument of exaltation
And I was born to lift Your name above all names
You hear the melody of all creation
But there's a song of praise that only I can bring’

The "Who Else" Worship Song is a Beautiful Song

What a beautiful song written by Abbie Gamboa, Zac Rowe, and Josiah Funderburk. And Zac Rowe shares about the power of the song and the meaning behind the lyrics. “We were created to give God praise,” Zac says. “I love that when we worship God, we can think about how great He is, and it makes our problems and the things we go through feel like they get put in their correct perspective.”

Josiah Funderburk also shares about the "Who Else" worship song in an interview and how powerful it is when sung in a group of believers. “When you say a line like that at the beginning - I'm an instrument of exaltation, and I was born to lift your name above all names - to hear the person next to you singing that to is like - ‘Oh yeah, there's actually more going on than just whatever I brought into the room.’”

The song “Who Else” can shift perspective from personal problems to divine glory. It emphasizes that in a world of distractions, no one compares to Jesus. He is the only one worthy of our worship.

We hope you enjoyed this powerful worship performance of “Who Else” from Canaan Baca today.

If Ever I Loved Thee

“If Ever I Loved Thee” is a quiet, deeply personal response to the overwhelming mercy of Christ.

Set against the backdrop of His suffering, death, burial, and resurrection, the song reflects on a simple but piercing truth: Jesus endured what looked like madness to the world—though He was completely innocent—so that we might receive the mercy we could never earn.

He stood silent before His accusers.

He suffered without guilt.

He chose the cross… for us.

And in that moment, what appeared to be defeat became the greatest act of love in human history.

“If Ever I Loved Thee” is not a declaration of perfect devotion, but a humble offering—an acknowledgment that any love we have for Him exists only because He first loved us.

It is a song of surrender.

A song of gratitude.

A song for anyone who has come to realize the depth of His mercy.

🎧 Listen, reflect, and be reminded:

What looked like madness… was mercy all along.

So let’s make some memories worth living for
We go fast lane to fast lane but in between the lines
Is where we’re gonna find what matters more’

What an incredibly touching song written by Mat Shaw, Savanna Shaw, Shannon Haley Michaels, and Sarah Guarino. And Mat and Savanna share the meaning behind it in the caption of their music video.

There Are Moments in Life That Move Us

“To ‘be moved’ isn’t about having more. It’s about noticing more. We wrote this song about the kind of drives where no one’s on their phone. Where the conversation just unfolds. About backseat laughter. About choosing the long way home just to keep the conversation going. Where the sunshine hits just right and somehow a regular Tuesday feels unforgettable.”

They continue: “Those are the moments that move us. Having our whole family in this video felt like the only honest way to tell the story. Because the people you see in the backseat are the same ones who inspired the song in the first place. Take the long way home. Be moved.”

Mat and Savanna Shaw’s "Be Moved" is a song that will uplift you and remind you of what truly matters. How simple time with family, when there is nothing to distract us from each other, can be such sweet moments that fill our souls.

‘How Great Thou Art’ Originated in Sweden

As for the background of ‘How Great Thou Art,’ the journey of how the song came to be is quite interesting. The hymn originated in Sweden in 1886, long before it reached the United States.

Author and editor Carl Boberg originally wrote ‘How Great Thou Art’ as a poem. Later, those words were set to a Swedish folk tune. Then in 1907, Manfred von Glehn translated it into German, and five years later, a Russian pastor named Ivan Prokhanov created a Russian adaptation.

Then, in the early 1920s, Rev. and Mrs. Stuart Hine left their home in England and went to Poland as missionaries. That’s when they heard the Russian adaptation of ‘How Great Thou Art.’ Reverend Hine decided to write the English lyrics and make his own arrangement of the Swedish melody. After many iterations, we have the beloved ‘How Great Thou Art’ hymn we know today.

We hope you enjoyed listening to this amazing version of “How Great Thou Art” today!
