so i never saw this guy before the other day. mike servin. better known as the pop lockin ex gangster turned to Christ. his story is pretty wild. raised in columbia, he says, he grew up watchin american gang movies and at 12 he wanted to be a gang member. did almost as many crimes as saul before he took that road to demascus and changed to paul. as strange as mike is i do believe he is a true believer in Jesus.does he know the scripture in and out.? no. but he believes in it all. he says he calls out Jesus' name so much when he need help or is lost in words or is just lost. God works in us all differently and we are all different. when the Holy spirit enters us it doesnt change us to be someone who we arent, it fills us with the thoughts and words of God. we arent ment to be a certain cookie cutter image man has created as a Christian. we are just suppose to love Jesus and follow His teachings, spread His word in the annimations that make us the unique persons we are. thanks for watching. Dont forget to tell God you love him when you talk to Him. He likes to hear it. ps. my computer machine had a hard time rendering this one for some reason. some spots are miss aligned and studder. oh well. next week ill make a new one and ill forget all about it.

In our old 1918 Minnesota farmhouse, we have one window in our upstairs bathroom where every time the winter temperatures drop down into the single digits and lower, God makes amazing gardens of crystals appear! Each day, they melt off in the sun and then re-form completely different the next night. I've been taking photos of them for years and they always make me marvel at another amazing aspect of God's creation! Sometimes they shine like flames as the rising sun shines through them. Sometimes they bring out purple or blue or even black and white as the snow reflects the blue or gray sky or some other nuance. When I've taken pictures of the streetlight shining through them at night, they look like they are made of copper. They have felt like a personal gift from God to me to help me find beauty and wonder in the dead of the coldest of winter. I finally wrote a poem about them and then wrote music to it to try to capture their mystery and beauty.
