Dennis Quaid 'Why Me Lord' Emotional Cover

Longtime Hollywood actor Dennis Quaid has turned in a deeply emotional and moving cover of “Why Me Lord.” This live performance is one not to be missed. It’s an outstanding rendition of a song previously sung and recorded by the late Kris Kristofferson.

Life can and does throw troubling and disheartening situations our way. Of course, those unexpected circumstances do hurt, often causing much sorrow and heartache. That pain is very real and can linger for quite some time. But despite those painful situations, we are all incredibly blessed.

The Lord has touched our lives in many ways with His kindness and love. He continually bestows blessings upon us, even during times of pain and sorrow. All those blessings, His kindness, love, mercy and grace are nothing that we deserve or have earned. We could never do anything remarkable enough to earn them.

In a clip posted on YouTube, the multitalented Dennis Quaid sings a classic tune about the Lord’s unearned and underserved blessings in our lives. In the tune, the singer asks the Lord what they did to deserve such kindness and love.

Not only does the musician ask God about the blessings in their life, but the singer also makes a heartbreaking confession. They have been careless with the Lord’s kindness, love and blessings, essentially wasting them. As a result, the singer asks for the Lord’s forgiveness for letting what He has done in their life go to waste.

“Lord, help me, Jesus, I’ve wasted it

So, help me, Jesus, I know what I am

But now that I know that I’ve needed You

So, help me, Jesus, my soul’s in Your hand.”

It’s a beautiful but also heartbreaking song. It likely describes many people, if not everybody. We have all been greatly blessed by the Lord, but there are likely blessings from Him that we’ve wasted.

James 1:17 “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom is no fickleness, neither shadow of turning.”

Armor of God #Ephesians 6

The full armor of God, as described in Ephesians 6:10-18, consists of the following elements: 1 The belt of truth This represents living with integrity and being committed to God's truth, which holds all the other pieces of armor in place. 2 The breastplate of righteousness This protects the believer's vital organs, representing the righteousness that comes from Christ, which guards the heart against Satan's attacks. 3 The shoes of the gospel of peace These represent being prepared to advance the gospel message, which can overcome the obstacles satan places in our path. 4 The shield of faith This shield can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one, representing the importance of having strong faith in God. 6 The helmet of salvation This protects the mind and thinking, keeping it focused on the hope of our eternal life in Christ. 7 The sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God This is the only offensive weapon, representing the power of God's word to defeat temptation and spiritual attacks. The purpose of this full armor is to enable believers to stand firm against the devil's schemes and be spiritually victorious, as our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against the spiritual forces of evil.

Phil Wickham Lyric Video for ‘God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen’ Cover

Most are familiar with the classic song, but wait until you watch Phil Wickham’s lyric video for this ‘God Rest Ye Merry Gentleman’ cover. Take a listen! From the song's beginning, the first notes land at a fast and steady pace. It’s almost as if the music is running in time with the blinking Christmas lights. In this new version of the song, Phil keeps the original feeling of reverence of the song while adding a new musical depth. While the familiar and beloved words echo hope and peace at lie at the heart of Christmas, “God rest ye merry gentleman, let nothing you dismay,” it also reminds us of the gift of Christ’s birth.

Phil is known for his passionate and inspiring worship music. He’s a down-to-earth kind of guy with a big heart for worship and has a talent for creating music that connects with people. Growing up, he was raised in a christian home and he discoverd a passion for music after leading worship at a youth group when he was only 13. Since then, he’s dedicated his career to bringing hope and redemption to his fans.

Phil’s voice rises and falls with the message of each verse empahsing the reason for the season, “To save us all from Satan’s power when we were gone astray.” This line serves as the hope and reminder and the joy that Jesus brought into the world. It makes the sound carry deeper significance rather than becoming another Christmas carol.

This beautiful song is often sung to inspire peace, but it takes on a new version in Phil’s singing. His version highlights the deep meaning of the season as we celebrate the birth of Jesus. It’s become a source of joy, comfort, and salvation. As we listen, we’re reminded that Christmas isn’t just a festive holiday, a time to rejoice in the grace of redemption. We hope you enjoyed this beautiful version of the song.

Luke 2:11 “Today in the town of David, a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.”

Home Free’s Stunning A Cappella 'Hark! The Herald Angels Sing' Cover

Home Free delivers a stunning a cappella performance of ‘Hark! The Herald Angels Sing,’ providing a new take on a classic and beloved hymn! Written by Charles Wesley and originally published in 1739, the song was altered slightly in 1758 by George Whitefield and again in 1767 by Martin Madan. George Wesley’s timeless message endured the changes, still communicating the greatest gift that mankind has ever received from our Heavenly Father!

Home Free’s current members—Adam Rupp, Rob Lundquist, Tim Foust, Adam Chance, and Adam Bell-Bastien—bring their incredible vocal gifts and percussion to this holiday favorite. With three Adams in the group, is there any doubt that the group’s music is blessed?

Surrounded by mountains, forests, and creeks, the gentlemen proclaim God’s glory! Fans applaud Rob and Adam B.’s lead vocals and Adam Rupp’s perfectly placed claps and mouth-made beats, vibrations, and reverberations! Adam Rupp wears the least clothing, possibly allowing freedom of movement as he provides the group’s rhythmic lead. Each Home Free member contributes wonderfully to create a stirring rendition of one of the most recognizable of Christmas carols!

Here are four lines from the second verse of “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing”:

‘Christ, by highest heaven adored,

Christ, the everlasting Lord,

late in time behold him come,

offspring of the Virgin's womb’

Founded in 2001, the Mankato, Minnesota men updated their 2014 album, Full of Cheer, in 2016 when they released Full Of (Even More) Cheer. The album debuted at number two on the Top Country Albums Chart with 13,000 sold; it was the band’s best performance on the chart at the time. This year, Home Free offers up even more Christmas with their newest album, Any Kind of Christmas.

During this upcoming Christmas season, may we delight in the blessings of God—His splendid natural creations, the warmth of beautiful voices singing new and traditional Christmas songs, and the joy of the birth of Jesus Christ!

“But the angel said to them, ‘Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.’” Luke 2:10

He adds his own harmonies, and his vocals will soothe you as you reflect on the friend you have in Christ. This is a soul-stirring, a cappella version of ‘What A Friend We Have in Jesus.’

There is such a stunning peace that comes over a believer in knowing that Jesus sees them. He sings with such authentic worship. You can see how the lyrics mean so much to this young man as he expresses his heart through song.

The harmonies selected for this performance are unexpected but not overdone. They are wonderful and will have you wanting to hear more. There are more and more boxes of this one-man band added throughout the video. He has such creativity with how he even performs instrumentals with his voice. It is impressive and encouraging to anyone viewing it. You will feel as if you have been invited into the throne room of God to worship and celebrate His love and care that He has provided.

This one man’s voice and percussion are equivalent to the skills of a regular-sized choir. He has provided such a high level of skills. It will blow you away in awe of God but also cause you to rest and relax in His presence, knowing that He is your friend. “You are my friends if you do what I command. I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.” John 15:14-15

Trio’s Chilling ‘How Great Thou Art’ Rendition

The trio’s chilling ‘How Great Thou Art’ rendition is a breathtaking experience brought to you by the band Small Town Sunday, which was performed in the middle of an empty house. Their voices harmonized and filled the space with a rich melody that you can’t help but sing along to.

The Small Town Sunday band began in North Carolina in 2012 with the mission of telling others that God can redeem anything–including the pain of losing someone. Matt and Holly Branch, who are now married, didn’t know each other until the night they met at the same time, meeting Stephen Roberston. They went from being mere strangers with a passion for music to becoming family and a band. They were formally known as Dixie Still before changing their name to ‘Dixie Revival’, and finally, they settled on the name ‘Small Town Sunday’ because they wanted to tell others about the good news of Jesus through their music.

“We want to tell the story of how God has restored us,” Holly said. “And we want to do it through our music.”

Her husband added, “Most of the folks that listen to country music have a moral compass, whether or not they believe in Christ or not. So, any music that we can put out that pushes a message of positivity towards that moral compass is a good thing if you ask me.”

Their performance of ‘How Great Thou Art’ will leave you breathless as they hit the high notes in harmony. As each of them raised their voices, you can’t help but get chills at how stunning they sound together. Their performance of the song captures the heart of worship and the heart of their band. We hope this song gave you not only hope but inspiration to thank the Lord for the blessings He’s given you today!

Psalm 40:2-3  "He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God."

Stunning A Cappella Cover of ‘When The Roll Is Called Up Yonder’

Get ready to be spiritually encouraged by this worshipful video. Dan Herner begins to sing this moving hymn written many years ago about a poor young girl who passed away from illness and who had never missed Sunday school. Watch his stunning a cappella cover of ‘When The Roll Is Called Up Yonder.’

The song is full of real emotion from when it was written, but also strength and confidence in our savior Jesus for providing eternal life to all who believe, even the youngest of children. The chorus sings out:

‘When the roll is called up yonder,

When the roll is called up yonder, I'll be there.’

Dan starts out singing in four-part harmony with himself, as seen in multiple video clips placed together. He is very talented and has such a natural blend. The song is hopeful and a reminder that the role called in heaven will include the names of every follower of Jesus. We can have great confidence that Jesus’ work was enough for our personal sins. He tells us that our names are written in the book of life.

As you listen to the words of this song, may it motivate you to examine your own salvation. If you have placed faith in Jesus, you can thank Him for your name written in His book of life If you have never accepted Jesus personally, may this song lead you into a moment of repentance and accepting His gift of salvation on the cross. He is so glorious and we are secure in Him.

“And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Then another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, according to what they had done.” Revelation 20:12

CeCe Winans Delivers Stunning Performance of 'Come Jesus Come'

Prepare to be blessed and inspired by this worshipful video. At the start of this performance, we see an exclusive K-Love performance at the studios. Cece Winans is standing in a white sound booth room with her band throughout the panorama in various places in the studio. CeCe Winans delivers a stunning performance of ‘Come Jesus Come.’

The pianist is doing an excellent job, playing with such heart and confidence. As we listen to the words, our hearts and minds are reminded that Jesus is coming back. The melody and lyrics cry out our desire for Jesus to return because we need Him and are ready for Him. In the midst of whatever challenges we face, He is there, and He hears our prayers.

During the second verse, we hear stunning background vocals by the trio of women accompanying CeCe. It is absolutely beautiful. The harmonies on the chorus will blow you away and invite you into a worshipful state.

The chorus sings:

‘We need You right now

Come and turn this around

Deep down I know

This world isn't home

Come, Jesus, come’

This high-level performance is incredible and will wow you. The vocals and instrumentals join together to create such a moving moment of invitation for Christ to work in our circumstances now. It will cultivate a deeper longing for Jesus’ return.

“‘Look, he is coming with the clouds,’ and ‘every eye will see him, even those who pierced him’; and all peoples on earth ‘will mourn because of him.’ So shall it be! Amen.” Revelation 1:7

Dan + Shay Stunning 'Silent Night' Cover

Prepare for a beautiful country spin on a favorite Christmas song. Check out this beautiful video of Dan + Shay performing a stunning ‘Silent Night’ cover. These vocals will take your breath away.

At the start of this incredible song, the first vocalist begins singing the verse acapella. It is a holy and reverent moment pondering the birth of our Savior Jesus. There is a sound of stunning vocal runs. His voice is angelic and crisp. He belts with effortless ease. It is so wonderful to hear.

The second verse has the duo singing in beautiful harmonies still acapella. They blend beautifully. The two have such poise and a wonderful blend. They continue into the third verse, and it will give you chills to listen to their rendition of “Silent Night.” You will feel as if you are at a candlelight Christmas service in your own church. It feels personal and authentic in the way that it is dark and just the two of them singing in front of the camera.

This clip reminds us that there was nothing flashy about Jesus’ entry into the world. He was born in Bethlehem and placed in a wooden manger. As we listen to the words of this timeless Christmas hymn, may we be in awe of the birth of our Savior Jesus who humbled Himself to become a man and started as a newborn baby. This song will remind us of the majesty that is found in the simplicity of that wonderful silent night when Jesus was born.

“While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.”  Luke 7:6-7

Quartet’s Powerful Rendition of ‘Revive Us Again’

Prepare to be uplifted by this beautiful acapella performance. A quartet’s powerful rendition of ‘Revive Us Again.’Check out this encouraging rendition of ‘Revive Us Again’ by The Messengers Quartet. Sherwin Martin, Michael Horst, Trevor Drudge, and Travis Drudge gave an inspiring performance.

The vocals are strong right from the start and are in a four-part harmony. Each part is done with confidence and style. The bass vocals really stand out for how low of notes he is hitting with ease. All four young men blend beautifully. You will feel empowered in your faith hearing these men sing. It is as if they are vocal warriors for Christ, singing about the victory that we have in Him.

These sharp-dressed and clean-cut young men will remind you of the hope that we have for the next generation. God is still working and putting passion and zeal for His gospel in the hearts of young people. You see clips of the group up in front of a small church and then moments where they are sitting in the pews singing. These men sing some incredibly difficult and unexpected notes that resolve. You never know exactly where they are going to go with their harmonies, it is so amazing.

As we listen to this song, may it remind us of the joy in how Jesus has rescued us from sin, but each day we can ask Him to fill us up and revive us again. We can have renewed excitement for Him and His Word. May this be our reminder today to be revived in Christ again.

“Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you? Show us your steadfast love, O Lord, and grant us your salvation. Let me hear what God the Lord will speak, for he will speak peace to his people, to his saints; but let them not turn back to folly.”  Psalm 85:6-8

Stunningly Beautiful 'Amazing Grace' A Cappella Cover

Four incredibly gifted vocalists turned in a stunningly beautiful a cappella cover of 'Amazing Grace.' 'Amazing Grace' is without a doubt the most beloved, well-known hymn of all time, and this rendition is absolutely outstanding. You’ll want to watch and listen to this clip repeatedly.

Hymns are some of the most beautiful pieces of music. Unfortunately, they are also some of the most underutilized, with many places of worship moving away from them. Despite being hundreds of years old in some cases, they are still as relevant today as they were when they were first penned. Those tunes remain powerful, still moving people to tears even if they’ve heard a particular hymn hundreds of times.

Even if people and churches were to abandon hymns completely (I hope that never happens), one hymn would remain. 'Amazing Grace' is a universally beloved, thoroughly covered and played hymn, often bringing many people to tears before its first verse is over.

In a clip posted on YouTube, four singers show off their immense musical talent with a stunning cover of 'Amazing Grace.' All four individuals sing with so much emotion, perfectly capturing the power and meaning of those lyrics. It’s a lovely and dazzling performance.

'Amazing grace, how sweet the sound

That saved a wretch like me

I once was lost, but now am found

Was blind, but now I see'

'Amazing Grace' remains so popular and is still a popular target for the cover treatment because of its powerful and impactful lyrics. Those words accurately describe a situation in which all followers of Christ have found themselves at one time or another. We’re all the beneficiaries of God’s amazing grace. We were all lost at one time or another, but because of His love and mercy, we’ve been forgiven.

Ephesians 2:8 “Because by grace you have salvation through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is given by God.”

Stunning A Cappella Rendition of 'Jesus, Name Above All Names'

One man turned in a stunning and captivating a cappella rendition of the beloved hymn “Jesus, Name Above All Names.” It’s a charming musical performance; it’s likely to be one that you will return to repeatedly. Be sure to watch and listen to this clip.

Everyone is an individual, and so everyone has been blessed with a particular set of skills and abilities. Of course, not everyone will be blessed in the same areas and fields. Those gifts and talents are unique to each person and intended to bring glory and honor to His name.

For instance, someone skilled musically would sing or play an instrument to perform a hymn or a gospel song for all to hear. That makes sense, right? Even those who aren’t great singers can still join in and sing a song of praise and worship. However, depending on your skill level and lack of musical talent, it may be best to sing only when alone (No judgment if this describes you; I firmly belong in this category).

A clip posted on YouTube showcases one young man using his incredible musical talent to praise, worship and honor the Lord. He performs the classic hymn “Jesus, Name Above All Names” without the accompaniment of instruments. Instead, using only the power and beauty of his voice, he sings out about the wonderful, powerful and mighty name of Jesus.

“Jesus, name above all names

Beautiful Savior, glorious Lord

Emmanuel, God is with us

Blessed Redeemer, Living Word”

Yes, it’s only about a minute long, but it’s a video and performance that perfectly captures the beauty of those lyrics. No matter how old that hymn is, that tune will never become irrelevant. Jesus is the name above all names. Without Him and His sacrifice on the cross, none of us would have a chance, a hope or a future.

John 1:14 “And the Word became flesh and took a place among us for a time; and we saw his glory—such glory as is given to an only song by his father—saw it to be true and full of grace.”
