One To Many - No Dupes

The theme of the show is Freedom -  great historical speeches by men and women who fight for freedom, with sword and with pen, what we do with our freedom (business, sports, arts, lifestyle), and what it's like NOT to have it (Douglass). Great words that apply in all ages. See how one person can influence many others and vice versa. I will give a short intro to each memorized speech, then transition to the next speech with just a few measures of piano music I will be playing live in studio.  I hope the show will inspire the audience to be more patriotic and civic-minded in their respective communities.

About Terry Smith

I am a computer programmer by day, employed at MediQuant in Brecksville, Ohio, and for the last ten years have participated in the arts in my leisure time.  I have appeared in over 20 local plays, some local movies (including the original Avengers movie), and I play piano at senior residences and restaurants.  I have delivered memorized historical speeches at events including Memorial Day parades in North Olmsted and Broadview Heights, Crushers Stadium in Avon, American Nationalities Movement dinners, North Olmsted Kiwanis, VFW posts in North Olmsted and Elyria, on AM 1220 Roundtable, and to political organizations.  Some of my favorite roles are Lord Capulet in Romeo and Juliet, Robert in Proof, and James Thurber in Thurber's Carnival.  I am an Elyria native and a graduate of Miami University.  My wife, Erin, and I raised four boys and live in North Olmsted, where I am also a precinct committeeman.  See my complete performing resume at my website,
