Yolanda Adams Joins The War and Treaty for Powerful ‘How Great Thou Art’ Performance

Yolanda Adams joined The War and Treaty for a powerful “How Great Thou Art” performance. The live powerhouse rendition of the beloved hymn happened at the Grand Ole Opry. Watch the short clip to hear and see the moving, awe-inspiring performance of a tune near and dear to the hearts of many.

This may be controversial, but the old hymns are much better than most contemporary Christian music today. Despite this, many churches are choosing to leave the hymns behind. Instead, houses of worship are opting to fill the praise and worship portion of their Sunday morning services with contemporary Christian music.

Many contemporary Christian songs are great and moving; some can even be considered classics. However, the beautifully written lyrics of those hymns carry so much meaning and pack a powerful punch. And it doesn’t matter how many times you hear a song like “Great is Thy Faithfulness,” “Blessed Assurance” or “Because He Lives,” it will always cause an emotional reaction.

That is precisely what happens when you watch and listen to Yolanda Adams and The War and Treaty’s rendition of “How Great Thou Art” at the Grand Ole Opry. The trio gives an absolutely stunning performance as they sing about the love, power, faithfulness and greatness of the one true King.

“Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to Thee
How great Thou art, how great Thou art
Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to Thee
How great Thou art, how great Thou art”

It was a dazzling, show-stopping performance, with everyone in the room on their feet singing right along soon after they started performing the beloved, classic hymn. How could you not be moved by that fabulous, powerful rendition?

Colossians 3:16 “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”

Powerful ‘Praise to the Lord, the Almighty’ Hymn Performance Uplifts

This tremendous and awe-inspiring “Praise to the Lord, the Almighty” hymn performance will uplift and encourage your heart. The choir and congregation members turned in a lovely and moving rendition of the classic hymn. Watch the short but powerful clip to see and hear them perform “Praise to the Lord, the Almighty.”

The Bible says that all have sinned and fallen short of God's glory. Have you ever considered where you’d be without God’s love, faithfulness and forgiveness? For most people, that’s a scary thought that likely has them imagining many frightening situations and scenarios. Before Him, we were all undoubtedly on the path leading to destruction and death.

But thankfully, He corrected and righted our path. He provided and offered us a course correction through His grace and forgiveness. He has made us a new creation in Christ, wiping and blotting away our past sins and transgressions. His forgiveness and love are nothing we deserve or could ever earn, but gifts freely offered to all who earnestly seek Him and call out His name.

In a clip posted on YouTube, a church choir and its congregants beautifully perform “Praise to the Lord, the Almighty.” It’s a beautifully written song of worship and praise that glorifies and honors the one true King.

“Praise to the Lord, above all things so wondrously reigneth;
Shelters thee under His wings, yea, so gently sustaineth!
Hast thou not seen how thy desires e’er have been
Granted in what He ordaineth?”

Without the Lord’s grace, mercy and forgiveness, we were all headed for not just a physical death but a spiritual death – an eternal separation from Him. However, because of His immense, never-ending love, God forgives sins and offers eternal salvation.

Praise His name, indeed! For He alone is worthy!

Colossians 3:16 “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”

Inmates' Soul-Stirring Rendition of ‘How Great Is Our God’

A group of inmates turned in a soul-stirring rendition of “How Great is Our God.” The prisoners sang the beloved praise and worship tune, giving a moving performance about the one true King. Watch the short but powerful clip to see and hear the men sing about the greatness of the Lord.

The world is a lost, fallen and broken place. People are hurting and struggling as they fight, scratch and claw to make it through the day. Sin has destroyed and ruined everything with which it has come in contact. Unfortunately, sin’s destructive path has included marriages, careers and entire lives.

While sin may be great, God’s love is greater and always will be. There is nowhere we could go or anything we could do to escape Him. He is constantly chasing after the lost sheep, hoping and pleading for them to return to Him. Regardless of how bruised or broken we may be, God offers love, forgiveness and healing.

A clip posted on YouTube shows how God is even at work in prison, changing and transforming the lives of men behind bars. In the video, a group of men perform “How Great is Our God.” It’s a moving and powerful scene as every one of the men sings along, holding their hands up in praise and worship.

“How great is our God, sing with me
How great is our God, and all will see
How great, how great is our God”

Then, about 30 seconds into the clip, one of the prisoners steps forward, joins the musicians on stage and leads everyone in singing “How Great is Our God.”

Yes, they may be locked up and serving their time behind bars, but God is obviously working in their lives, changing their hearts and making them a new creation in Christ.

God’s love, power and forgiveness know no bounds, and even prison walls and bars cannot stop Him. What a wonderful sight!

Hebrews 13:3 “Keep in mind those who are in chains, as if you were chained with them, and those who are in trouble, as being yourselves in the body.”

Megan Danielle Wows with Soul-Stirring ‘Hard Fought Hallelujah’ Rendition

Megan Danielle stands center stage and wows with a soul-stirring ‘Hard Fought Hallelujah’ rendition of Brandan Lake’s song. As she sang, a hush fell over the room, and the lyrics of grace entered the air. Brandon Lake’s lyrics carry the weight of someone who has been in the trenches of faith, where prayers feel unanswered, and worship feels more like a wrestling match than a victory dance.

And there Megan was, embodying those very words. Not just singing them, but living them. You could hear it in her voice—the kind of faith that has walked through fire and still chooses to lift hands in praise, even when they tremble.

It reminds me of the parable Jesus told in Luke 18:9-14—the Pharisee and the tax collector standing side by side in the temple. One came polished, certain, self-righteous. The other came raw, real, and undone before God. And it was the one who stood in his own need who walked away justified. That’s the faith we’re drawn to, isn’t it? The faith that’s not curated for perfection but cracked open and poured out because there’s no other choice but to trust.

Some Sundays, it takes all we have to walk through the doors of a church, to sit in a pew, to lift our hands when we feel like we have nothing left. And yet, worship isn’t about how we feel; it’s about who God is.
It’s a sacrifice of praise. Because sometimes, it costs us something. Sometimes, it costs us everything.

As Megan sang, I thought about the stories behind every hallelujah in the room. The woman battling cancer who sang with tears streaming down her face. The father who just buried his son, whispering the words through cracked lips. The addict, newly sober, gripping the pew like an anchor while singing with all his might.

Yes, Megan’s voice was beautiful. But more than that, it was honest. And that’s what made it powerful. Not polished, not perfect, but steeped in the kind of faith that’s been tested and found true.

And isn’t that what Jesus honors? The kind of faith that doesn’t come in proud and put-together, but the kind that comes in broken and brave?

Faith isn’t proven in comfort; it’s refined in fire. 1 Peter 1:7 reminds us, "These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold." And Megan’s hallelujah? It had been through fire. It had been fought for.

Maybe you’re in a season where your hallelujah feels like a battle cry rather than a victory shout. Maybe your faith feels more like wrestling than resting. Maybe your worship isn’t easy or effortless—but neither was His sacrifice.

So, the next time you hear someone singing hallelujah, pause. Really hear it. Look past the melody and into the story behind it because some hallelujahs are hard-fought. And those are the ones that move heaven.

1 Peter 1:7 "These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold."

Tauren Wells Lyric Video for Uplifting ‘Let The Church Sing’

Listen to Tauren Wells sing his uplifting new song called, ‘Let The Church Sing.’ What a joyful song that will hopefully have listeners thinking about how amazing the church is.

‘We love one truth, we crown one name

We bow to one king, we follow one way

One faith, one gospel, one cross, one grave

One resurrection we share by grace, so we sing’

What a great song! ‘Let The Church Sing’ is a new project that singer and songwriter Tauren Wells recently released. It came about when inspiration hit Tauren Wells after he launched the Church of Whitestone with his wife back in January 2024. When over 4,000 people attended the first weekend it was open, Tauren’s church hit a record by being the largest first-day church launch in American history.

"When we planted the church, it was a major spiritual excavation into the heart," said Tauren Wells. "A lot of songs came from the birth of our church. I hope this music and my book remind people of the beauty of faith and community—that true joy is deeply rooted in God’s love, not in our circumstances."

Tauren Wells is referring to his debut book, Joy Bomb: Unleash Jesus’s Explosive Joy for an Extraordinary Life, which will be released on May 20, 2025.

Tauren also shared on his Instagram about ‘Let The Church Sing’ and how he hopes it will have people praising the church and the strong community that can be found there.

“My brand new EP, Let The Church Sing, is available now!” Tayren writes. “When you listen to this project, I want you to walk away thinking about how amazing the church is. I hope that we can re-engage with the wonder and beauty of community and faith. I’m still the same child of God, but with a sharpened focus on what He has called me to do in the world.”

We hope you enjoyed listening to ‘Let The Church Sing’ today and it was able to bring you some encouragement!

'At The Cross' Gary and Nita Talley Beautiful Duet

Don’t miss this lovely grandmother, grandson moment as they sing ‘At The Cross’ by Gary and Nita Talley in this beautiful duet. There’s something sacred about sitting with those who’ve gone before us—their hands weathered with years of faithfulness, their voices softened by time and tenderness. When we were little, our grandparents were the world to us—their laughter, their stories, their unwavering love. And somehow, even as we grow, that never really changes.

Gary Talley, known for his love of guitar and teaching music online, knows this truth deep in his bones. But beyond the lessons and the melodies, there’s something even more beautiful—he still sits with his grandmother. And not just to visit, but to worship.

In this tender video, Nita Talley softly sings At the Cross, her voice carrying the weight of years spent walking with Jesus. There’s no stage, no spotlight—just a quiet moment between grandmother and grandson, woven together by the chords of faith.

And it's breathtaking in its own sweet way. I wonder if Nita is proud of her grandson because he knows Jesus. And at least I don’t have to wonder if Gary loves spending time with her because it’s evident by the look on his face as he strums his guitar, stirring up childhood memories in a moment of worship.

“At the cross, at the cross where I first saw the light,

And the burden of my heart rolled away,

It was there by faith I received my sight,

And now I am happy all the day!”

Maybe that’s what worship really is. Not the grand performances, not the polished perfection—but the hushed, holy moments where voices tremble with reverence and love. Where the weight of our burdens is lifted, not because of anything we’ve done, but because of everything He did.

And so we listen, and we remember: At the cross, at the cross, where we first saw the light.

Psalm 145:4 “One generation commends your works to another; they tell of your mighty acts.”
