'We Shall Overcome' Wintley Phipps Live At Gaither Studios

Listen to this wonderful rendition of the hymn ‘We Shall Overcome’ by Wintley Phipps that was recorded live at Gaither Studios.

“We shall overcome, we shall overcome, we shall overcome someday;
Oh, deep in my heart, I do believe, we shall overcome someday.”

The hymn ‘We Shall Overcome’ became the anthem of the Civil Rights Movement during the 1950s and 1960s. The song offered courage, comfort, and hope as protesters confronted prejudice and hate in the battle for equal rights for African Americans.

Wintley Phipps does a fantastic job showcasing his powerful bass-baritone voice in this performance of ‘We Shall Overcome,’ and many people online shared how much they were moved by listening to him sing it.

“I've enjoyed listening to him for years, whether in sad times or good, and he always lifts my spirit,” writes one person on YouTube after watching this performance by Wintley Phipps. “May God continue to bless you sir.”

“What a magnificent voice and such a powerful song. Thank you for those encouraging words,” comments another person online.

Recently, Wintley Phipps released an album titled Amazing Grace: Hymns and Gospel Classics, and his recording of ‘We Shall Overcome’ is on the album. The project includes many joyful renditions of some of his most-requested hymns and gospel classics. Some of the songs include ‘Amazing Grace,’ ‘How Great Thou Art,’ ‘I Surrender All,’ and ‘Let There Be Peace on Earth.’

“The gift of song transfigures the character and lifts us into the very presence of God,” Wintley Phipps says when talking about the album. “My prayer; Lord, may the music on this project inspire and draw many closer to Jesus.”

We hope that you enjoyed listening to Wintley Phipps sing ‘We Shall Overcome’ and that his wonderful voice and the truths in this song were an encouragement to you today!

'Hold On' Katy Nichole And David Leonard Worship Performance

Watch this beautiful worship performance from Katy Nichole and featuring David Leonard of the song ‘Hold On.’

“Smoke clouds all around, couldn’t see your face, darkness consumed me
Stuck in the bitterness, but I know there’s a light that’s waiting up ahead
So, I’ll stay in the fight and look to the one who said hold on just a little bit longer
I know it’s gonna be okay, these days are gonna make you stronger”

What a wonderful worship performance, and the voices of Katy and David blend so well together! And it is powerful to hear the words of ‘Hold On’ and know the testimony behind them.

‘Hold On’ by Katy Nichole was written about one of the lowest times in her life, a time when she was battling depression and anxiety. And Katy shared more about the song and the heart behind it in a video she posted to Instagram.

“I wanted to talk about a song on my brand new album called ‘Hold On,’” she said. “This song is incredibly important to me, and it’s a little bit harder for me to talk about because it’s such a deep part of my story, and it is a little bit darker. I’ve dealt with a lot of anxiety and depression in my life and even at one point had suicidal thoughts. There was one point where I picked up a bottle of pills and I took it to the bathroom, and when I did—there was nothing in my path—but that bottle of pills fell onto the floor and spilled.”

Katy continued: “In that moment I felt God saying to me, ‘Hold on, I’m not done yet.’ I picked up those pills and threw them in the trash can because I knew that God still had a plan and a purpose for my life. I hope this song can encourage you and remind you that your life matters so, so much and you can hold on because you have a purpose.”

What an incredible testimony. And it is beautiful to see Katy use her story and her talent to shine the light of Christ to others through her music.

'Your Way' KB And Britt Nicole Official Audio Video

Check out the song ‘Your Way’ by Dove-Award-winning rapper KB and featuring Britt Nicole.

“At another burial, and this ones for the hope we would make it if friendships pass away
And the dreams we thought we made, I couldn’t save it, will I just go and give it my all
To watch it all fall, I don’t know anymore, will this heal? I need peace, not control, you know
Oh, come, come have Your way, yeah, come have Your way in all that You give”

This beautiful song is from Billboard chart-topping rapper KB, and it is from his highly-anticipated fifth studio album titled His Glory Alone II. On the album, KB blends various musical influences, including hip-hop, gospel, afro-beats, and soul, along with worshipful ballads.

He also talks about his life experiences on the album and opens up about childhood trauma, abandonment, confusion, and doubt.

“I never talked about my life like this on a record,” shared KB. “When you listen to it, I hope you hear and understand the passion of a broken but committed man. Maybe you can see yourself in this man. That’s who I am. I’m a son whose wounds are being healed as a father. I’m a husband who is serious about leading my household, I’m an institution builder who cares about helping people.”

KB also shared how God is always the foundation and inspiration behind his music.

“There is always more when you are talking about God. He is infinitely inspiring, forgiving, and loving. Every aspect of God is infinite and deeper,” he said. “You never get to the top of the ladder. It just gets more beautiful. When we do get things in this life that are glorious like success, even those pale in comparison to Jesus, and I would give up all of those for Jesus.”

We hope that you enjoyed listening to the song ‘Your Way’ and it was able to bring you some encouragement.

Christian Family Worships The Lord With 'Jesus Is The Anthem'

Listen to this talented Christian family worship the Lord with the song ‘Jesus Is The Anthem.’

“See us gathered as the church, the bride of Jesus, singing praises to our Lord, God’s only son
For we believe and have received eternal life through His great mercy, so we will live our lives
For Him as faithful servants, telling nations far and near He is the way, and come what may
We’ll not betray the sacred name of our King Jesus, He is the Anthem that we sing”

This beautiful song was composed by Paul Jackson and Lari Goss, and the talented family performing it in the video is The Asidors.

They are a group of family Christian singers who share God’s love through their music. The family performs in many different places, especially at churches, religious gatherings, and crusades. And they also have a popular YouTube page where they share their musical performances as well.

In their music video of ‘Jesus Is The Anthem,’ the performance starts off with a talented young girl singing the first verse, and then the other members of her family take turns having their own solos. Later in the song, Isaiah 40:28 comes across the screen: “The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom.”

Many people online were encouraged by The Asidors’ rendition of ‘Jesus Is The Anthem’ and shared their thoughts.

“Hallelujah! What a blessing to witness your beautiful family praise the Lord with such zeal and a burning passion for God. Thank you and thank God,” comments one person on YouTube after watching the music video.

“There are few words that can be said about the blessings you bring with this song,” another person writes online. “It fills the heart with the truth that Jesus brings to light in our faith. Absolutely beautiful! Loved it!”

We hope that you enjoyed this video of ‘Jesus Is The Anthem’ by The Asidors today!

'Creator' Phil Wickham Official Music Video

You don’t want to miss ‘Creator’ performed by Phil Wickham in this beautiful official music video!

“Praise Him all you creatures great and small
Praise Him summer, winter, spring and fall
Hollowing wind, rushing streams
Rolling hills and crashing seas

What an incredibly reverent music video that points us to the One who created us and the world we live in. Do you ever whisper words of praise as you notice the sunrise on your way to work? Or maybe when the leaves dance to the ground in an array of colors in the fall? Maybe you whisper a prayer of praise when you hug your kids and grandkids.

No matter what fills your soul with gratitude, we can praise God for all the wonders that surround us.

The song is part of the album he released in August of 2023 titled, ‘I Believe.’ Phil wanted to create an album worthy of pointing everyone back to Christ. He said, “There are so many searching for truth, meaning, belonging, purpose, hope, fulfillment, peace and healing… I think the world is desperate to see and hear people full of hope, joy, love, and confidence telling their stories about how Jesus saved and changed their lives.”

The song ‘Creator’ brings us right to the heart of why Jesus loves us so much. What I love the most about this powerful message is how the video is choreographed to show giant crashing waves, majestic mountain tops, to the stars swirling in the galaxy. We can look at creation and know that we have a Creator.

We hope you enjoyed listening to Phil’s new song. May you lift up your voice and worship your Creator!

Colossians 1:16 “For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him.”

A Cappella Men’s Choir Performs Stunning Rendition of ‘Hallelujah’

A group of gifted vocalists displayed their musical talents with a remarkable cover of a beloved classic from the 1980s, Leonard Cohen’s hit “Hallelujah.”

There are dozens and dozens of instruments that man has created. They are used to create pleasant and pleasing sounds, making for an enjoyable experience. On the other hand, these same instruments, designed and constructed by man, can also make for some lousy and even disturbing sounds.

But the one created by God Himself is easily the most beautiful. The human voice can move an entire stadium full of people, bringing tears to their eyes. The human voice is the instrument The Virginia Gentlemen used when they gave an outstanding rendition of the song “Hallelujah.”

Approximately two dozen men, standing on risers at the back of the stage, provide the background music throughout the performance. Seconds into the 4-and-a-half-minute clip, one man steps forward from the crowd and sings nearly the entire song solo. A second man does step forward, singing for a bit, at different moments in the clip.

“Now, I’ve heard there was a secret chord
That David played, and it pleased the Lord
But you don’t really care for music, do you?
It goes like this, the fourth, the fifth”

At the end of their inspired performance, the entire auditorium erupts with a thunderous round of applause and cheers.

The Virginia Gentlemen, according to their YouTube channel, is the “oldest a cappella group at the University of Virginia.”

In addition to being a group that has been around for some time, they have put on performances in front of thousands of people all over the world, including in Australia and China. They have also sung in front of dignitaries such as former U.S. President Barack Obama, first lady Michelle Obama and the former governor of Virginia, Bob McDonnell.

Colossians 3:16 “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”

Redeemed Quartet Performs 'Then We'll Be Glad'

Watch this delightful music video featuring the Redeemed Quartet as they perform ‘Then We’ll Be Glad.’

“Then we’ll be glad we live for Jesus. One endless day of perfect joy.
Then we’ll be glad we lived for Jesus. We’ll sing and shout and praise His name.
In His presence, we’ll be changed. Then we’ll be glad we lived for Him.”

The Redeemed Quartet has a unique story and group members. Based in Indiana, the four young men happen to be best friends and have two sets of brothers with a mission “... to shine a light in the darkness and lift the weary traveler, while showcasing four-part harmony and life-changing lyrics.”

The two sets of brothers, Nate and Ben Duncan and Caleb Koble and Josh Koble were raised on traditional Gospel beliefs and had a passion for music. At the age of 16, they began taking singing lessons four nights a week. Their dedication to refining their voices at such a young age is admirable.

In 2015, their careers were launched after posting a live video of the classic song, ‘Just A Little Walk With Jesus.’ Within months, their audience had grown statewide to worldwide with requests for them to perform! It’s been close to a decade of performing. Even though they may be well known and all grown up, one thing remains the same, to bring the Gospel through music.

What we love most about watching these classy fellas perform are the glimpses of their home state in Indiana. In this beautifully filmed video, the four young men are singing in a beautifully wooded area before the end of their performance in a southern-style house. We love the down-to-earth feel this video has.

What a refreshing reminder. One day we will be ushered into the presence of God. Oh, how we will rejoice and praise the Lord! We hope that you enjoyed listening to Redeemed Quartet’s version of “Then We’ll Be Glad.”

'Working On A Building' Gaither Vocal Band Live Performance

Be filled with hope as you listen to ‘Working On A Building’ sung by the Gaither Vocal Band during a live performance. These powerful words remind us that while we are here on earth, we still have an active hand in building our heavenly homes with our hearts, actions, deeds, and words.

“Oh, I'm working on a building (Lord, I'm working on a building).
Yes, it's a true foundation. (Lord, it's a true foundation)
Child, I'm holding up the blood, blood, blood-stained banner for my Lord.”

It’s so easy to lose sight of eternity when we are caught up in our daily lives. The Good Book reminds us when we offer up to God selfless acts of love and faith. We are helping Christ as he prepares a place for us. Our heavenly home

The Gaither band is a well-known all-male group with deep southern roots dedicated to spreading the Gospel through music that came onto the music scene in the 1990s.

The Gaither Vocal Band is a popular all-male southern ensemble. This group has been sharing their gospel music for decades. The band's name comes from the founder and leader, Bill Gaither, a singer and songwriter. Over the years, members have changed, but the mission to spread God’s life-altering message hasn’t.

Today we are listening to one of the band’s beloved soundtracks that usher us into a poster of reverence for the Lord. Just listen as these soulful voices sing in harmony to create the most joyful sounds of praise as they remind us of our future heavenly home.

“I'll never get tired, tired, tired of working on a building (Lord, I'm working on a building).
I'm gonna run on to heaven, oh Lord, and get my reward.”

What a perfect reminder our home here on earth is only temporary. Some day, we will meet Jesus face to face as he walks each of us home.

John 14:2-3 “In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.”

'God Problems' Maverick City Music, Chandler Moore And Naomi Raine Music Video

Check out this incredible worship performance of the song ‘God Problems’ from Maverick City Music featuring Chandler Moore and Naomi Raine.

“There’s just some problems only God can fix, all of these trials wore me down to this
I’ve seen it happen time and time again, there’s just some problems only God can fix
There’s just some battles flesh and blood can’t win, there’ll be some moments
That just don’t make sense, can’t see it now, but I’m still convinced”

This amazing song was written by the talented Naomi Raine, Daniel Bashta, Ryan Ellis, and Chris Davenport. And it is part of the band’s upcoming project titled Maverick Way EP that is coming out in September.

The song delves into the complexities of human struggles and the unchanging nature of God’s love and faithfulness. In the music video, Chandler Moore and Naomi Raine lead the heartfelt worship, and it is wonderful to see everyone in the room praising God together.

“Awesome! So blessed to see all of these young worshippers on fire for God!” comments one person on YouTube after watching the music video. “Glory to God!”

“Maverick City music just hit different! Another powerful praise song,” writes another person online.

When talking about the song, Maverick City shared that they hope it will be an encouragement to all who hear it. “Our prayer is that this song will continually encourage and serve as a reminder that the battle belongs to God!” the band says.

The beautiful lyrics and melody of ‘God Problems’ really captures the essence of seeking solace and strength from God in the midst of life’s challenges. We hope you enjoyed listening to this song today!

Psalm 36:5
Your steadfast love, O Lord, extends to the heavens, your faithfulness to the clouds.

'The Sky The Dawn The Sun' Celtic Woman Classic Performance

Check out this beautiful and classic performance by Celtic Woman of their song 'The Sky and The Dawn and The Sun.'

“High is the moon tonight, hiding it's guiding light, high, heaven and earth do sleep,
Still in the dark so deep, I will the darkness sweep, I will the moon to flight,
I will the heaven's bright, I will the earth to light, open your eyes with me, see paradise with me
Awake and arise with me, I am the dawn, I'm the new day begun, I bring you the morning”

This wonderful song was written by David Downes, who is the composer and musical director of Celtic Woman, as well as Brendan Graham. And this fantastic performance of 'The Sky and The Dawn and The Sun' was filmed at Slane Castle in County Meath, Ireland.

The lyrics in the song 'The Sky and The Dawn and The Sun' speak of the beauty of nature and the power of love. The sunrise symbolizes the beginning of a new day, a new hope, and a new chance to start afresh. And the sky and the sun represent the elements that sustain life and give light to the earth. It is a beautiful song that reminds us of the power of nature and the importance of cherishing it and how love can light up even the darkest of days.

The singers in Celtic Woman always sound so angelic when performing together, and we hope that you enjoyed listening to their incredible voices sing 'The Sky and The Dawn and The Sun.'

Nehemiah 9:6
You are the Lord, you alone. You have made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them; and you preserve all of them; and the host of heaven worships you.

Angelic Piano Cover Of “Agnus Dei” From JOSLIN

Beauty and inspiration abound is this angelic piano cover of “Agnus Dei,” arranged and performed by JOSLIN.

“Angus Dei” is Latin and translates in English to “Lamb of God.” While this performance is an instrumental one, little imagination is required to hear with utter clarity the words of the chorus in your mind. The majesty of the setting, the heavenly sunrises and sunsets captured in the video, and the glorious music shared communicate with absolute certainty that our God is holy and worthy!

Here are three lines from the chorus of the “Angus Dei,” written and composed by Michael W. Smith:

Holy, holy
Are You Lord God, Almighty
Worthy is the Lamb, worthy is the Lamb

Violinist Emily Burak joins Joslin in this recording. The two began their musical journeys at the ages of 3 and 4, respectively. Her filmy red dress and blonde hair blow with the winds that whip across the Bonneville Salt Flats, but she plays seemingly unphased.

Joslin begins playing at 10 seconds, and his fingers dance across the keys—evidence of God’s gift and years of hard work. They are doing what they are destined to do!

The two play in a location that may be unfamiliar to you; it was to me. It looks like packed snow, but, in fact, it is packed salt. The salt field, with mountains in the distance in most directions, covers about 46 square miles in western Utah. The vastness of the space makes it difficult to discern east from west and morning sunrise from evening’s setting sun.

The openness of the desert environment doesn’t offer an echo, but Emily’s violin does. She answers JOSLIN’s piano for about 30 seconds beginning at 2:35. Amidst their exquisite playing, we see snapshots of God’s handiwork. JOSLIN and Emily are huge talents, and their performance is grand. But, like all of us, they are small against His creation!

He is indeed almighty!

“The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!” John 1:29

2 Men In Empty Stairwell Sing Chilling Rendition Of ‘Oceans (Where Feet May Fail)’

Two young men displayed their outstanding voices when they gave a stunning performance of a contemporary Christian music favorite.

Musicians performing songs created by other artists is a practice that is likely as old as music itself. Even bands who have been around for decades and have amassed a healthy catalog of music will often sing covers. Covers or reinterpretations of popular songs will not be going away anytime soon.

One song that has received a healthy dose of the cover treatment is Hillsong UNITED’s “Oceans (Where Feet May Fail).” A quick YouTube search of “Oceans Where Feet May Fail cover” turns up dozens and dozens of different renditions of the song, including one from Christian music Lauren Daigle.

In another cover of “Oceans (Where Feet May Fail),” two young men, Anthony Gargiula and Jamie Miller, try singing the Hillsong UNITED tune. Their rendition is a powerful and thoroughly enjoyable cover. Their voices perfectly complement one another.

“Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders
Let me walk upon the waters
Wherever You would call me
Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander”

Currently, the short clip has been viewed more than 450,000 times. It’s clear to many that both young men have been immensely blessed with angelic voices.

This cover is one that is more than worth a few listens. Others who commented on the video stated how they wholeheartedly agreed with that sentiment.

“Goosebumps, ya’ll. Jesus blessed you with incredible voices!!!” one person wrote.

“Both voices are just beautifully raw. Singing with so much emotion, I’m loving every moment,” a second individual added

“Anthony and Jamie, let me just say, your voices are SO SO BEAUTIFUL!! It brought tears to my eyes… Thank you, thank you, thank you!” another person posted.

Psalm 95:1 “O come, let us make songs to the Lord; sending up glad voices to the Rock of our salvation.”

American Idol Alum Megan Danielle Sings 'Goodness Of God'

Check out this beautiful worship performance from American Idol alum Megan Danielle of the song ‘Goodness of God’ by Bethel Music.

“I love You, Lord, for Your mercy never fails me. All my days, I've been held in Your hands
From the moment that I wake up, until I lay my head, oh, I will sing of the goodness of God
And all my life You have been faithful, and all my life You have been so, so good
With every breath that I am able, oh, I will sing of the goodness of God”

This amazing song was written by Jenn Johnson after the adoption of her son, Ryder. She found herself driving on a long country road and started to record the song into her phone about the kindness and faithfulness of God. She wrote and sang the majority of “Goodness of God” as an overflow of her heart in that moment. Later, she was able to finish and record the song with Ed Cash, Jason Ingram, and Ben Fielding.

When it comes to Megan Danielle, she was one of the singers on season 21 of American Idol. Megan grew up in Douglasville, Georgia with two sisters and a brother. Growing up, she had always heard about God but didn’t really know who He was. It wasn’t until she was 18 years old and started to attend church on a regular basis that her faith became real and a vital part of her life.

During Megan’s performances throughout her time on American Idol, she was able to showcase a vast array of musical styles and influences, including Miranda Lambert, Lauren Daigle, Chris Stapleton, Zach Williams, Patty Griffin, Fleetwood Mac, and more. And her first official single post-American Idol, “Dream Girl,” is available now.

We hope that you enjoyed listening to Megan Danielle’s rendition of ‘Goodness of God’ today!

Exodus 33:19
Then He said, “I will make all My goodness pass before you, and I will proclaim the name of the Lord before you. I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.”

'Sunday's Comin' Zach Williams Live Studio Performance

Listen to this live studio performance of the song ‘Sunday’s Comin’’ by Zach Williams.

“When your week feels like a beat down, and you can’t tell the night from day
And you’re tired of fighting battles, when all you feel is pain, oh, it’s a heavy weight
There’s hope on the horizon ‘cause the cross was not the end. Let joy come in the morning
Child lift your head, don’t you give up yet, keep on holdin’ on there’s gonna be a breakthrough”

What a great song written by Zach Williams, Ethan Hulse, and Nick Schwarzwhere. In the lyrics of the song, Zach Williams uses Christ’s death on the cross and his resurrection on Sunday to inspire and uplift listeners who may be enduring hardships. And in the song’s chorus, the lyrics remind us that Christ is always faithful and remains by our side.

In ‘Sunday’s Comin’,’ “Friday” refers to Good Friday, the day that seemed the darkest because Jesus, the promised Savior, had been killed. But God had a plan all along. Three days later, Resurrection Sunday happened, the day that Jesus rose from the dead, fulfilling the plan of God to make a way for everyone who would believe in Him to be saved from their sins and become a friend of God. And that same victorious Savior can help you in whatever trial you’re facing today.

“You’ve done it again Zach! Another beautiful song with such truthful meaning!” writes one person online after watching the music video.

“There is no better way to start your day than to be uplifted and encouraged by such a beautiful song. Thank you Zach, God bless,” comments another person.

We hope that you enjoyed listening to ‘Sunday’s Comin’’ by Zach Williams today. And remember, that even though we will face trials and sorrows, we can take heart because He has overcome the world.

'Step By Step' Natalie Grant And Dolly Parton Duet

Listen to this great duet of ‘Step By Step’ from Natalie Grant and Dolly Parton.

“Well, there's a bridge and there's a river that I still must cross, as I'm going on my journey
Oh, I might be lost and there's a road I have to follow, a place I have to go
Well, no one told me just how to get there, but when I get there I'll know 'cause I'm taking it
Step by step, bit by bit, stone by stone yeah, brick by brick, step by step, day by day”

What a fun duet! The song ‘Step by Step’ was made popular by Whitney Houston when she recorded it for the soundtrack for the movie The Preacher’s Wife. This was the first time Natalie Grant and Dolly Parton have recorded a song together, and Natalie shared just how exciting this experience was for her.

“In 1996, ‘Step By Step’ is a song I would blast on cassette in my beat up Volkswagen Golf as I drove to my job at Medicare,” shares Grant. “The dream when I moved to Nashville was music, not Medicare, but I had to do what was necessary to keep going.

This song was my reminder to keep putting one foot in front of the other. If you would’ve told me then that one day, I would not only be recording this song, but doing it with an international icon, I never ever would’ve believed it. I still can’t believe it.”

This rendition of ‘Step By Step’ from Natalie Grant and Dolly Parton will be on Natalie’s new album titled Seasons coming out in October. And the 10-track album will feature Natalie Grant’s own take on songs that have made a lasting impression on both her life and her career.

We hope that you enjoyed listening to this fun song today!

Incredible Performance Of 'Amazing Grace' With More Than 200 Bagpipes

Check out this incredible performance of ‘Amazing Grace’ with more than 200 bagpipes.

“Amazing grace, how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me. I once was lost
But now I'm found, was blind but now I see, t'was grace that taught my heart to fear
And grace my fears relieved, how precious did that grace appear, the hour I first believed”

What a beautiful performance of this beloved song! This video of ‘Amazing Grace’ was filmed live at the Berlin Tattoo in Germany, and the name of the vocalist in the video is Carl Ellis. His voice is wonderful, and the addition of the bagpipes is hauntingly beautiful.

“What an incredible voice that man has! I came for the bagpipes, but his voice blew me away,” comments one person on YouTube after watching the music video.

“This gives me goosebumps. What a performance. Proud to be Scottish. Doesn't matter what country you are in, a performance like this will stir your blood,” writes another person online.

There is a reason the hymn 'Amazing Grace' remains a favorite hymn for so many people. The powerful lyrics remind us that because of Jesus, none of us are ever lost because God is with us always.

The author of this hymn was John Newton, and he wrote this song after safely landing in Donegal, Ireland, after being caught in a storm at sea. This safe arrival would mark the start of his return to Christianity.

Up until the point of coming to Ireland, John Newton was involved in the Slave Trade. In 1748, Newton was traveling from Africa to Liverpool and got caught up in an awful storm. The weather conditions were so severe that Newton called out to God, asking for mercy. The ship safely reached Ireland, and that event marked the beginning of John Newton’s spiritual conversion. He started to read the Bible, got out of the Slave Trade, became an Anglican Priest, and ended up writing many hymns, including ‘Amazing Grace.’

We hope that you enjoyed listening to this rendition of ‘Amazing Grace’ today!
