All first reads from here on out! Sad to leave David, but so excited to engage Asaph! This one really leapt off the page for me. Not sure if it's me, the day, or the powerful mode of this Psalm, which is really a complaint to God. This almost seems blasphemous at first encounter, but what it really draws out, I think, is the deeply personal nature of Asaph's relationship with God: he argues with him like he would with a family member, even seems to chastise Him! Just an extraordinary example of faith being tested to its limit and surviving.
