In the late 1970s, the brutal Khmer Rouge regime killed nearly three million Cambodians and taught the nation that love and family values were worthless. As a result, domestic violence is common in Cambodian households. We're helping families learn to love again and end the cycle of abuse.

Families fleeing to Greece's shores rest in the gentle care of Samaritan's Purse staff who’ve come to aid them. Our teams are demonstrating the love of God in tangible ways to refugee families.

Dr. Evan Atar and a highly dedicated medical team tend to the sick, injured, and dying every day at the Samaritan's Purse-run Maban County Hospital in South Sudan. Despite a punishing schedule and a caseload that's constantly growing, they serve with Christ's strength and in His Name.

God is using Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes to bring children to Himself in this southeast African country. After they receive the Gospel, girls and boys like Angella and Shukuran are introducing others to Christ. Some also participate in The Greatest Journey, the discipleship program Samaritan's Purse developed for shoebox recipients.

Entire families who have fled from ISIS receive vocational training and medical care at a community center in Northern Iraq.

Sorn struggled to provide for his family as a poor rice farmer in a remote Cambodian village. After learning from our staff how to supplement his income by growing vegetables and raising livestock, Sorn can now afford to send his son to study in a university.

Refugees from Syria and other conflict-torn countries find themselves stuck in Greece. Samaritan's Purse, in coordination with the Greek government and international community, is there meeting critical needs for those who have no option but to remain. Our staff work and pray so these people will experience the love of God in Christ.
