What a great performance by Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash of this beloved hymn! After Johnny and June sing the first part of the song together, the whole stadium joins them in song later in the video and it is a wonderful sight to see and hear.

‘The Old Rugged Cross’ is a popular hymn written in 1912 by evangelist and song-leader George Bennard, and it speaks of the writer's adoration of Christ and His sacrifice at Calvary.

George Bennard wrote the first verse of the hymn in Albion, Michigan, as a reply to ridicule that he had received at a revival meeting. He turned to scripture to reflect the work of Christ on the cross and later recalled, "I seemed to have a vision…I saw the Christ and the cross inseparable."

Several months later, George finished the remaining verses of the hymn while he was leading meetings at a local church in Michigan. He performed the song to a full house on the last night of the meetings.

Over Spring/Easter-Break I've been working on a few songs and remixes. I decide as an "Easter Egg" goodie to combine some of the song and ideas into one. "There's Power" is a song I'm working with some friends about The Power in Jesus and who he was. It was inspired after my friends and I watched Passion of the Christ. Since "There's Power" isn't finished, I tacked on the beat/drums from my remix of Lancifer's It's Chill. Most of the other songs are in my collection of DIY Acapellas I've been making (which can be very hard when not much material is available) or from some remixes I never finished. However, I am working on a official remix for Lightswitch, I'm remixing Live like There's No Tomorrow. Anyway, It's up on Soundcloud, plus it's a free download, so go check it out! Enjoy the song!

Wish upon a Falling Star Video - A Nation gone Bad! This song is not giving glory to the stars, objects or people making wishes on a star but points to the Creator of the Stars above. Man is bent on worshiping people, things, and objects when they are void of the knowledge of their Creator. Yes we need to wish but also to pray for our leaders and the people that vote in the leaders of this land so perhaps God will restore a part of her back. Personally I think it is too late to restore our country because of the almost 55 million babies killed since 1973 and their blood crying to God for judgment as Abel’s blood cried for judgment against Cain. Genesis 4:10 And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground. And the many, many other sins our country has committed because they have forsaken God. But we repent and press on in Truth! It’s a time to pray for Gods Angles to take our side to fight our battles. We know in the last days there will be persecution of the Church but why not stand up for Righteousness in this time before the coming of Jesus Christ? Will Christ come back for a lukewarm body of believers or to those that put on the full armor of God? Even if we are in the End times, we still need to stand up for God’s Truth in a decaying age!
