Guy Penrod's Stirring Live Performance of 'Then Came The Morning'

Incredibly talented gospel music singer Guy Penrod turned in a stirring live performance of “Then Came the Morning.”

Without Jesus Christ, no one would have even the slightest glimmer of hope. Everyone on Earth would be condemned and forced to spend their days lost in their sin and shame. All would be destined and looking at spending eternity in hell.

But because God has an indescribable amount of love for humanity and saw the absolute mess that humans had made, He sent His one and only Son. Jesus Christ, sent to a virgin, would grow up and eventually become a willing sacrifice, laying down His life for you and me. He endured a horrible, agonizing and humiliating death and later rose again so that you and I might not be lost.

Because of Jesus Christ, we can be forgiven, have our sins wiped away and one day experience everlasting life. That’s a debt we’ll never be able to repay. It’s a gift we haven’t done and will never do anything to be worthy of it.

In the clip, Guy brings the house down with his powerful performance of “Then Came the Morning.” The tune’s lyrics perfectly capture the doom and gloom that followers of Jesus had to be feeling immediately following His death on Calvary.

But that is not the end of the story. Praise God!

As the song title indicates, then came the morning. The stone had been rolled away, and Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world, was alive.

The chorus mentions how dread and despair soon turned into hope and joy.

“Then came the morning

Night turned into day

The stone was rolled away

Hope rose with the dawn”

Because of Christ’s sacrifice, while we were still sinners, we now have hope. That hope, love and forgiveness are still freely available and offered to all.

Romans 5:8 “But God has made clear his love to us, in that, when we were still sinners, Christ gave his life for us.”

We The Kingdom Lyric Video For Upbeat Tune 'Church Music'

In this artistic music video, We the Kingdom sings the song, ‘Church Music.’

The music video has a catchy and fun vibe to it. You can see cartoonish images and videos of the band, with lyrics in fun fonts going across the screen at different times. The video makes you want to get up and dance with the band.

We the Kingdom is a contemporary Christian band made up of Ed Cash, his brother, Scott Cash, his son, Martin Cash, and a family friend, Andrew Bergthold. Ed’s daughter, Franni, is taking a break from the band. The name We the Kingdom comes from the idea that “the kingdom of God is here among us,” which is an amazing sentiment and is perfect for a worship band.

The band’s break-out single, ‘Holy Water,’ came out in 2019, and their first album with the same name came out in 2020.

The song, ‘Church Music,’ begins with the following lyrics,

“I always wondered why Sunday morning

Didn’t feel like Saturday night

What if all God’s people came locked and loaded

With joy jumping in their eyes”

The song is about how music found in the church can be amazing. That you can use instruments such as drums, guitars, bass, and tambourines. It is a fun approach to the idea that worship music can be just as wonderful and upbeat as other types of music as long as Jesus is at the center of it.

Fast-paced fun music can be a great way to worship Jesus. Music like this has lyrics that are easy to remember and allows us to worship God with our church brothers and sisters.

“All nations whom thou hast made shall come and worship before thee, O Lord; and shall glorify thy name. For thou art great, and doest wondrous things: thou art God alone.” - Psalms 86:9-10

From the moment Michael’s voice resonated through the hallowed halls of the venue, a palpable sense of anticipation swept over the audience. As the orchestra swelled in perfect harmony, every note seemed to echo with the majesty of God. Michael’s impassioned delivery breathed new life into the beloved lyrics, each word ringing with profound significance and heartfelt conviction.

Backed by the Nashville Recording Orchestra & Choir, Michael’s performance reached celestial heights, enveloping listeners in a transcendent embrace of faith and devotion. The lush orchestral arrangements and soaring choral harmonies served as a celestial backdrop, elevating the music to a realm of divine splendor. Together, they crafted a sonic tapestry that stirred the soul and ignited a fervent spirit of worship.

But it wasn't just the music that left audiences spellbound—it was the collective experience of witnessing a true master at work, accompanied by the symphonic brilliance of the Nashville Recording Orchestra & Choir. Together, they forged a powerful bond between artist and audience, united in their shared reverence for the enduring message of faith and redemption.

Psalm 98:4-6 "Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth, burst into jubilant song with music; make music to the Lord with the harp, with the harp and the sound of singing, with trumpets and the blast of the ram’s horn—shout for joy before the Lord, the King."

Crowder And Passion Team Up For Electrifying 'Grave Robber' Live Performance

This is a must-see moment from the Passion Conference 2024! Crowder And Passion Team Up For Electrifying 'Grave Robber' Live Performance

In a gigantic audience, we see a dark room lit with a bright stage as David Crowder celebrates being in the same room with everyone. He begins the song.

Crowder has such great style and tone. The moments of seeing young people in the room dancing and singing along is invigorating. This is a song of this current generation to worship Jesus and carry his name into the future.

The song is very catchy and celebratory of the work of Jesus in Crowder's life.

The chorus says:

“I got stolen by the grave robber

Picked me up from that rock-bottom

Washed my soul in that Holy water

Brought me back to life (brought me back to life)”

This is the kind of worship song that is a testimony of what Christ has done. His power is great and we are His children when we have accepted Him. His song is one of amazing grace that Jesus transformed his life and all who believe. The dome is filled with worshipers of the Living God.

The Passion Conference 2024 reminds us that our God has not changed. He has not left us. He is faithful to every generation. Even when it seems that our culture is shifting and drifting further away from the truth of the gospel, we know that God’s Word reminds us that He is unchanging and He is still on the throne. Jesus is still saving lives every day and we can join in this song celebrating His work of bringing the dead to life.

“But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!) For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus.” Ephesians 2:4-6

Gospel Pioneer Reunion's Soul-Stirring 'Sweet Sweet Spirit' Lyric Video

In this YouTube video, we hear the song, ‘Sweet, Sweet Spirit,’ from the Gospel Pioneer Reunion album from the Gaither Music TV channel.

The song is a powerful gospel number that allows you to worship God with your whole heart. In this performance, we see Doris Akers singing and on the piano. The chorus joins in, creating a lovely mix of gospel voices.

Doris Akers was an American gospel music composer, arranger, and singer. She wrote over 500 songs and was introduced to the Gospel Music Hall of Fame in 2001. She was also known as “Miss Gospel Music,” as music industry professionals admired and respected her. She also wrote the song, ‘Sweet, Sweet Spirit.”

The lyrics begin with,

“There's a sweet, sweet Spirit in this place,

And I know that it's the Spirit of the Lord;

There are sweet expressions on each face,

And I know they feel the presence of the Lord.”

The song is a beautiful way to sing about the Lord and to worship in his name. It reminds us of what heaven might be like and how we can grow closer to God when we sing about him.

The performance can be found on the Gospel Pioneer Reunion CD, which was released in 2016. In addition to Doris Akers, you can find some of the most well-loved gospel artists on the album, such as Richard Smallwood, Jennifer Holliday, Walter Hawkins, and more.

‘Sweet, Sweet Spirit’ is one of the many songs found on the album. You can also find songs such as, ‘I Shall Wear a Crown,’ ‘Tis’ The Old Ship of Zion,’ and ‘Jesus Loves Me.’

“Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing. Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.” - Psalms 100:1-5

Chris Tomlin Moving Live Performance of 'Whom Shall I Fear (God Of Angel Armies)'

Legendary Christian musician Chris Tomlin turned in a moving live performance of his hit song “Whom Shall I Fear (God of Angel Armies).”

The world can be a dark, brutal and scary place. Most of the time, sadly, it’s not a kind or forgiving location. People can and do cruelly and needlessly inflict an incredible amount of emotional and physical pain upon one another.

However, no matter what horrible situation or circumstance we may encounter, Christians have no reason to fear evil. The Bible makes it clear in the Old Testament book of Isaiah that we are not to have any fear. God is our strength, and His right hand will be our support in any and every conflict or situation.

Chris imparts the idea and message that God is our strength and support in times of fear and great uncertainty in his song “Whom Shall I Fear (God of Angel Armies).” It’s also a song about having faith and trusting in the Lord, knowing that whatever happens, He will be right there going through it with us.

The song’s memorable, truth-filled and catchy chorus reminds us about the mighty and powerful God we serve.

“I know who goes before me

I know who stands behind

The God of angel armies

Is always by my side”

Anyone who has been alive for any significant amount of time knows life is not always pleasant. Unfortunately, we’ll all encounter excruciatingly painful and heartbreaking situations. It may even get to the point where we’re so overwhelmed and beaten down that giving up and throwing in the towel seems like the best course of action. But regardless of the circumstance, we can rest assured that the one true King is always by our side.

Isaiah 41:10 “Have no fear, for I am with you; do not be looking about in trouble, for I am your God; I will give you strength, yes, I will be your helper; yes, my true right hand will be your support.”
